Energy Challenge 2004 is the first Toronto area urban car rally for energy-efficient vehicles.

Honda Canada and Mercedes-Benz Canada are providing a combination of hybrid and diesel vehicles.

There are 2 teams competing against each other for driving points based on a combination of fuel efficiency, driving and parking skills:

Team Hosein lead by Harold Hosein
Team Kenzie lead by Jim Kenzie

RallySport Ontario is overseeing the rally logistics, providing navigators and looking after the scoring.

There is a Pancake Breakfast starting at 8 a.m. at the Boardwalk Café.

The results will be announced at the closing press conference at the CN Tower at 4:00 p.m. awarding:

  • Best Team Overall
  • Best Individual Driver/Navigator (each team)
  • The Leadfoot Award for the least points accumulated.
